Lari Zelinsky-Bloom is the CEO and Owner of Zelinsky Company, a family-owned commercial and industrial painting contractor in Hawai‘i. She joined her father’s company in 2002, learning the business from the ground up, and took over operations in 2006.

Although Lari and her husband, John Bloom, did not come from formal backgrounds in business or construction—Lari’s experience was in commercial lines insurance and John’s in sales—they grew into the business through mentorship, perseverance, and the support of a dedicated team. Together, they helped build Zelinsky Company into one of the largest painting contractors in Hawai‘i.

Today, Lari and John are focused on the company’s next chapter. Their daughter, Alee, and son-in-law, Darin, have stepped into successor roles, and Lari and John are committed to mentoring the next generation while preparing for a thoughtful and well-earned transition into retirement.
